Pet Retail is Evolving. And So Are We.
For nearly 70 years, World Pet Association (WPA) has been a trusted resource for the pet community, striving toward our mission of fostering the wellbeing of pets and their families, while ensuring the health and sustainability of the pet industry. Today, through a creative rebranding initiative and new partnerships and programs, we are evolving to meet the needs of the ever-growing industry – from retailers and manufacturers to pet service professionals and consumers. We are thankful for your seven decades of support and can’t wait to share with you everything that comes with our new brand.
We are proud of all that we have accomplished as thought leaders in the industry since 1950. We have created a full spectrum of business trade shows and consumer events designed to support and educate the pet community, provide certifications and competitions for pet service professionals, showcase the latest products and match animal lovers with adoptable new pets. We are astounded at the industry growth that we’ve seen over the course of our existence – growing by a whopping 450 percent since 1994! – and we are so excited to see the shifting perception among pet owners, particularly Millennials, that consider pets as part of the family.
All the growth and change in the pet community means that now is not a time for WPA to rest on our laurels. Rather it’s a time for us to grow, change and enhance our programs, services and educational offerings to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of everyone we serve. Our new look will be the first thing you notice, but our enhancements are more than skin deep – we are fully committed to advancing the entire pet community and enriching the lives of pet owners and their animals today, tomorrow and well into the future.
